This is my first blog, and I've decided to share with the world The Killers' new holiday song for 2009, "Happy Birthday Guadalupe!" This being the fourth holiday song they've released in four years is, in my and Brandon Flowers's opinion, the best.
In an interview with Metro Brandon boasted, "I think it’s our best Christmas song. These songs would destroy rock radio if they weren’t about Christmas.”
The Killers collaborated with Wild Light and Mariachi El Bronx to make this wonderful track for charity. Check out
Wild Light and
Mariachi El Bronx as they're pretty good bands in their own right.
The other three holiday tracks are titled, "
A Great Big Sled," "
Don't Shoot Me Santa," and "
Joseph, Better You Than Me."
