.. the bird or the mouse, for twenty-ten ..

Now that the new year is here, we can all have a fresh start and make some new year resolutions in our effort to better ourselves as human beings. Which brings me to what I really want to talk about, to be the bird or the mouse? Most of you may be asking yourselves, "Why, what does he mean to be the bird or the mouse?" Well, I'm going to tell you. It has to do with two English proverbs, of which I find very interesting.

1| The early bird catches the worm.
2| The second mouse gets the cheese.

Let's think about this for a second. Most people have heard the first proverb in a chastising manner by an authority figure of some sort in order to get one to show up early. Now, the second proverb is most likely a result of some smart ass comeback comment. So I pose the question to you, for 2010 will you be the over anxious bird and do everything early or will you be the lazy mouse and relax while life hands you undeserved opportunities?

  3. First, I let the bird get his worm on. Then the mouse gets his cheddar. Then I eat both and regurgitate that shit. Bulimia is hard for hawks. - Harry the Hawk
