Okay, so I mentioned buying some blush and magenta lipstick in the previous post, and of course, I had to go to the car and promptly try both on. I'm happy to report that I'm very satisfied with my purchases. Unfortunately though, I accidentally twisted my lipstick trying to take the cap off, and now a chunk of it is stuck to the top of the cap. That made me very sad for some reason and took a little of the joy out of my purchase, but I will survive!!
I have to warn you that I already had make-up on, so I may look a little wacky in the photos. I wouldn't recommend trying to play up both the eyes and lips with such contrasting colors, but whatever! It was fun, and on-camera, I don't think it looked that strange. Right? That lipstick is crazy awesome though. I wanted to get a similar color from Chanel, but they didn't have it at Sephora, so I ended up buying #203 Make Up For Ever Professional "Rouge a Levres." I totally recommend it!!
Here's an example of me making a weird face. Not that unusual, really.
My favorite vintage owl necklace, and my awesome jaguar purse that I got at an antique mall!! It actually has a long strap that you can wear cross-body, but I decided to tuck it in on this occasion and wear it as a clutch.
Lovely vintage black cowboy boots from Spain that we're selling at the shop. I wore these out to take photos of them for the shop and they're very cute, indeed!
I wore a Betsey Johnson crocheted navy blue dress, which I love!! My outfit also included black tights, vintage boots, vintage owl necklace, my awesome jaguar purse, vintage sunglasses, and Forever 21 feather earrings. I felt kicky and fun in the outfit, and I love the pretty crocheted bell sleeves of the dress. Ooh, I forgot, I also added a very figure flattering Anthropologie belt, which has an etched floral design on it, but I have to say, it's not too comfortable after a big meal. A real problem for me. The last time I wore it was in San Francisco with Christian, and we were eating at Front Porch. I ended up having to take the belt off mid-meal. How sad! This outfit is country/prairie inspired, so the boots worked perfectly.
