.. this week in fancy | 04.16.11 ..

I'm starting a new feature here on OFT. This is my chance to mention/link to things that have caught my eye this week! Let's get this going...

** Fringe! Of course, my favorite show on television right now, and yesterday's episode (“Lysergic Acid Diethylamide") was spectacular. It was sort of Inception inspired, and there were great animated sequences, zombies attacking, crazy LSD trips, and the return of Belly (as voiced by Leonard Nimoy). I loved it so much, I might watch the episode again, which would be a rarity for me!

** This pic from Dlisted of Rachel Bilson and her big ass dog just tickles me. I love how the little one is confounded by the very existence of such a large beast, and therefore afraid to get any closer.

** Erin Fetherson sale!! All sale items $75, which is amazing. Love her dresses, and actually printed out a picture of this very dress (see below), for my mom to take with her to Vietnam...My mom and I purchased tons of fabric and she brought them to Vietnam with her, to have dresses made for herself, a bunch of her friends, and me. Cannot wait to see the results!

** Randomly caught this story on Nightline yesterday. Pat Craig has developed this amazing animal sanctuary, which has saved countless zoo and circus animals from being put down. I cried watching it, and then just cried again re-watching it. That final scene with the lions was pretty spectacular and heart-wrenching.

** I love hot pink lipstick and I have a great one from Makeup Forever, but just read about this one from Lainey Gossip. The Vincent Longo Thinstick Lipstick in Priscilla looks very promising, and better yet, it's conveniently available online at CVS. That color is spectacular!

** Just read a great review of Tina Fey's new book. Can't wait to order Bossypants on my Kindle.

** Lastly, I'm excited for the premiere of Game of Thrones (Sunday, 9p, HBO)!

Okay, that's it for now. Hope you found these tidbits interesting as well, and if not, too bad!
