I just spent the better of five hours standing in line and emergerd from the Obey sale with one large trash bag full of clothes and $340 poorer. This was my first Obey sample/warehouse sale and I just wasn't too impressed.
You'd be hard pressed to decipher my true feelings given how much clothes I came home with, but the fact is, I was just grabbing this or that and indiscriminately stuffing things into my bag with no real enthusiasm. Maybe I had been worn down by the massive crowds and long lines, but I'm acutely aware that I may be too old for this kind of thing. If the deals were amazing along with having a great selection of items, then of course, I would've been more excited. However, I'm a seasoned shopper (I say this with some pride) and have been able to find great deals on amazing things without having to stand in a five hour line. I'll just go back to my standard strategy from here on out.
Now that it's over, I can happily sort out the piles and decide what I'll keep and what will be given as Christmas presents.
P.S. I'll post some pictures shortly of a few items I acquired and you decide whether it was worth it or not.
